A company in NYC is installing 100 curbside charging "Tree" units, but there will be needed multiple 10's of thousands if the government continues with forcing this EV mandate on the public and the market.
This company has apparently already built a charging installation on 42nd street. The questions remain: How will the copper filled pricey curbside charging units fair given the number of "Urban Entrepeneur's" that roam the streets without fear of any consequences for their efforts in making a living. How long will they last?
AND not to mention, if and when one of the electric auto's or charging systems lets loose inside the garage of a major downtown NYC building. Also, how will the increased demand on the electrical system express itself? Brown outs? Blackouts?
Should be an interesting study in Concept V Time V Reality. We wait.
