I have been listening to some of the coverage of the New Orleans attack by an American who was in the military and randomly drove his rented "E" truck into a crowd of New Years revelers. The first thing I noticed in hearing a clip of him speaking was that he was not an imbecile, he spoke very well and appeared well educated.
And while it is very difficult to detect and neutralize someone who is hell bent on hurting and killing people in some perverted religious cause, I think we can all agree that as a country you do not do things that make it easier for some religious zealot to execute their evil plans. Things like purposefully keeping your borders wide open to any and all. And you do not remove from law enforcement as a part of a social experiment policy their ability to keep the society and country safe.
The "progressive" radical Democrat political agenda accomplishes exactly that. And as you may know I call much of what they did as per their political agenda while in political power political treason.

Clearly what I hear is a Police Chief who was making excuses for the determination of a "Hell Bent" violent religious zealot and his actions by driving around the barriers set in the street. He drove his truck on the sidewalk.
Didn't he know that it is illegal to drive on the sidewalk? That is essentially what the Police Chief was intimating. She sounded to me much like a "Simpsons" character: "I didn't do it!".
When your job is to keep people safe during a celebration you keep people safe, and you do what you have to do to accomplish that charge within reason. YOU DO NOT MAKE EXCUSES AND BLAME THE PERPETRATOR AND HIS DETERMINATION FOR YOUR FAILURE AFTER THE FACT! Which is exactly what I heard.
That one statement by this city official was the most outrageous thing I think I have ever heard a city official ever say in such a situation. America deserves the best and most competent and not someone getting a job because of gender or qualifications determined under any politically driven social experiment.
