X / TWITTER: AN INTERESTING ENVIRONMENT

Updated: Mar 22

I am monkeying around trying to figure out what X / Twitter is all about. And when you get into it you come upon all kinds of perspectives and opinions, much of it is very Subjective, narrow, highly emotionally and politically charged. Who would have thunk?

I responded to this "Tweet" below because I found it highly Subjective, narrow and highly emotional in how the writer so absolutely black and white nailed down their Subjective perspective so confidently.

The subject? The usual: The trans issue, gay issue, abortion issue, the politics ongoing in America and government apparently telling people what they can and cannot do. You know something light, uncomplicated, a breezy spring read :)

My point? There are reasonable lines to be drawn and we in America have the means, system and process chaotic as it may get, to rationally draw those lines in society and in the law. And not everyone is always going to get 100 percent of what they think they should be getting. Especially if what they desire or the lifestyle they are compelled to is on the outer edges of what the majority of people would define as the "Norm" or reasonable. As a rule in America, you as an individual or as a group can pretty much think and live as you choose within reason. But your individual Subjective freedom is not absolute when others freedoms and Rights become impacted by your individual Subjective choices. See what you think.

The Tweet: "Just so we’re clear - Any party telling you who you can love, what gender you are, which medicine you can take, which books you can read, which history you can learn, what prayers you should say and what you can and cannot do with your own body, doesn’t give a fxxk about freedom."

My response: "No one is telling anyone who they can love, that is not possible. Love and associate with who you please. No one is telling anyone that they cannot dress and identify as whatever gender they please. Just do not force parents through law to have differently oriented people forced on their children and their privacy and their freedom.

You can read any book you please, but again, do not force that same differently oriented perspective on parents and children through law. No one is telling you you cannot investigate and adhere to whatever version or interpretation of history you please. But again, don't force your Subjective version or interpretation of history on parents and children through legal means in schools because that becomes indoctrination and not education.

Pray to whatever God or belief system you please, who is stopping you? You can do whatever you want to do with your OWN body, just don't force your choices on another who also has choice and Rights but may not be able to express them. There are lines to be drawn.

You have been provided with the greatest degree of freedom in the entire history of human beings on planet earth right here and right now in 2025 America. And although the Constitution has structured this greatest degree of freedom in the history of human beings on planet earth it also proscribes a system and process to define the rational and reasonable parameters that we all must live within.

Some people only see their Subjective perspective and no one else's. And THAT is unreasonable. Be reasonable and think things out in their entirety and not just in your narrow self-serving Subjective view."

Freedom is not absolute.

Are you paying attention yet America? JGL 3/19/25
